STRAWBERRY in Hiragana necklace
This strawberry necklace is crafted using the Japanese word いちご (ichigo) as the design itself.
For years, I dreamed of creating this sweet fruit in jewelry form,
but arranging the letters into a balanced shape was a challenge.
Strawberries are more than just a delicious fruit; they are rich in symbolism, often representing love and fertility, due to their heart-like shape, vibrant red color, and abundance of seeds.
In this design, the い forms the berry’s body, the ち creates the leafy stem, and the ご represents the seeds.
The small dots had to be connected for structural integrity, making this an intricate and rewarding piece to craft.

I cut each one of the shapes out of metal sheet using hand saw and finish then shape each by hand.
