人と人を繋ぐ、というのは？
言葉は人のコミュニケーションツールです。それを用いてデザインしたジュエリー、しかもアラビア語の文字絵、という他にないユニークなスタイル。身につけている人が思わず誰かに話したくなるような、もしくはそれを見た人と「実はこれアラビア語で･･･」なんてところから会話が始まり、人とのつながりが生まれれば、それは言葉本来の役割でもあり、平和への小さな一歩かも知れません。言葉と同じようにジュエリーもまた誰かを繋ぐ物になり得れば、そして持ち主と一緒に新たなストーリーを紡ぎ新たな思い出を作りあげていけば、いろんな繋がりがより強固になるのではないでしょうか。私も自分の作品を通して皆様と繋がれたらと思っています。
なぜアラビア文字？
英語教師の父親の影響もあって小さい頃から海外に強いあこがれを抱いていました。一方で母は書道を教えていたので外国の文字に興味を持つのは当然の結果だったのかもしれません。中でもアラビア語はその優雅な曲線で装飾にも使われるほど芸術的で美しい文字です。
文字絵というのは？
文字を組み合わせて絵をつくる江戸時代からの遊びです。たとえば「ひつじ」というひらがなで羊のイラストにするようなものです。イメージと言葉が一致するので文字を覚える教材にも使われたりします。

Each piece is designed from languages — Japanese, Arabic and English — hand-cut from metal sheets to form its shape. At first glance, it just looks like a beautiful design.
And when you share the meaning behind your piece, it often sparks a conversation.
You don’t just wear jewelry; you wear meaning, culture, and a bridge to the world.
I believe each of these small bridges matters. Conflicts often begin with not knowing each other’s stories. But when we connect — even in a small way — we take a step toward understanding.
And every step toward understanding is a step toward peace.

小松 聡子
大阪生まれ。
小さい頃から物作りが大好き。
イタリア、フィレンツェでジュエリーデザインを学んだ後、大阪の宝石製造卸会社の商品部にて商品企画、海外買い付け、展示会への出展と幅広く経験。
2013年、ニューヨークへ単身渡米、ヨーロッパとは違ったスタイルのジュエリーデザインを学ぶ中、自らのジュエリーを制作。
